Scholarships
Currently, the Foundation manages one scholarship, the Francis Wrede Goll Gray scholarship.
Francis Wrede Goll Gray Scholarship
Mrs. Gray was a lifelong resident of the Garner area, who
recognized the needs of the students attending college. She was also very thankful for the service of our
veterans. Through her endowment to the Education Foundation, she found a way to help our students and express
her gratitude for our veterans by establishing this scholarship.
This scholarship is for past graduates and current G-HHS seniors who are/will be attending an approved
college, university, technical or vocational school. An applicant who has successfully completed the freshman,
sophomore, or junior years in the above named schools will be eligible for this scholarship if they have completed minimum
hours to be considered a full time student at their educational institution. It is limited to no longer
than four years at a recognized college, university, technical or vocational school. These scholarships
are to be awarded annually and are to be in the amount of $500 to $1000. They are given with emphasis on
need and veteran status of the applicant or their immediate family.
